Easter Egg Hunt 2012

The 37th Annual PBBA Easter Egg Hunt was EGGSTRAORDINARY!

The weather was perfect. The crowd was one of the largest, estimated at over 1200.  PPBA and community volunteers did an excellent Job and everyone went away happy.

There were over 1600 plastic eggs filled with candy spread through out the park for the children to gather.  Every child left with a prize.  There were at least 4 Grand Prizes valued over $20 in each of the 5 age groups.

“Thank You” to all the volunteers and donors that made this years Easter Egg Hunt another huge success. Click here for a list of all the donors and volunteers.

A special Thank You to Chairman, Nancy Anderson who works all year, shopping and planning for the event.  Close to 1000 prizes were handed out.

37th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

PPBA 37th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 7, 2012
Friendship Park Community Center
10:00 am

Volunteers need to be at the park at 8:30 am on April 7

From Nancy Anderson, Easter Egg Hunt Chairperson:

Monetary donations are always welcome and will be used to purchase prizes for the children.  Donations can be anything from a filled Easter basket, stuffed animal, game or toy.  We also accept gift certificates that would be appropriate for a child or family for restaurants, toys, bowling, miniature golf, etc.

A donation of your time is also needed and appreciated. Many volunteers are needed the day of the Easter Egg Hunt.  Feel free to bring family members and friends to help.  Please be at Friendship Park by 8:30 am.  We are cleaned up and out of there before noon.  Some help is needed to sort and bag toys prior to the Egg Hunt.  Five cars, trucks or SUVs are needed the morning of the Egg Hunt to move the prizes from Alternative Plumbing to Friendship Park Community Center at 8:00 am.

We will be meeting at Alternative Plumbing on March 15 and March 22 at 4 pm.  (March 15 ONLY, vans, trucks and SUVs are needed at Merchant’s Landing Mini Storage to move items from the storage unit to Alternative Plumbing for sorting.)  If you can help out in any way, contact me at the number below.

The PPBA Easter Egg Hunt is one of the oldest and largest in the Toledo area.  It is because of your generous support over the years that it is such a success.   We have had up to 1,000 people attending in past years. Over 700 prizes and handouts are given out including candy from our very own Easter Bunny. Over 1,600 plastic eggs filled with candy are spread throughout the park.  Every child walks away with a prize. There are several Grand Prizes hidden in eggs in each of the five age groups.  If you would like to donate a Grand Prize such as a bike, wagon, an electronic gift, a gift certificate or a savings bond, that would also be much appreciated.  You can put your business card with the donation to advertise that you donated the prize.

If you have any questions or need a donation to be picked up, please call me at the number below.  Donations can also be brought to the PPBA Dinner Meeting on March 21 or dropped at Rite Aid, 4869 N. Summit St.  Please mark your donations to “The Attention of Nancy Anderson.”  Checks should be made payable to PPBA Easter Egg Hunt and can be mailed to P.O. Box 5074, Toledo, OH 43611.  Please mark outside of envelope for Easter Egg Hunt.

We thank you again for your generosity and help in the past and know we can count on you again this year to make this a great event.  Let’s make this another Great Easter Egg Hunt for the children of our Point Place Community.

Sincerely,
Nancy Anderson
