Business Retention and Expansion Report for Point Place
The Point Place BR&E Task Force, along with Joe Lucente of the Ohio State University Extension and the Ohio Sea Grant College Program, is pleased to release the Final Report of the Point Place BR&E Program for 2013. This has been a collaborative effort, and is based on surveys and analysis of the survey results.
The PPBA thanks Joe Lucente, Len Syrek, Bob Pulhuj, Bob Kneisley, Eric Damask, Dale Rupert, Paul Pacholski, and all the others who spent countless hours compiling and analyzing the information about Point Place businesses.
This month’s general meeting of the PPBA will be at Toledo Yacht Club (3900 N. Summit Street). This will be a special meeting where the Scholarship Foundation will award college scholarships to several deserving high school seniors from Point Place.
Kelly’s Catering will be providing the meal. Cost is free for PPBA members, and $10 for guests. Let us know you’re coming by sending an email to ppbaonline@gmail.com. The meeting begins at 6:00 pm.
For over 30 years the PPBA has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to high school seniors from the Point Place area. The Foundation was formed to raise money and accept donations for this purpose. A Golf Scramble held in September each year is the main fundraiser for the foundation.
The PPBA Scholarship Foundation does not discriminate regarding race, religion or gender. Members of PPBA and their immediate families are not eligible for the scholarships. Students attending any high school or that are home schooled are eligible. Only residents residing in zip code 43611 will be considered.
Application deadline: March 2, 2013
