Scholarship Banquet Wednesday, April 20

Our monthly meeting for April is a special Scholarship Banquet. Our Scholarship Foundation will be awarding five $1,000 Scholarships at this month’s meeting on Wednesday, April 20. The recipients and their parents will be the guests of the PPBA Scholarship Foundation at our monthly dinner meeting at Ottawa River Yacht Club on 5844 Edgewater Dr.

Social Hour begins at 6:00 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM provided by Kelly’s Catering. The cost of the meal is free for members and $10.00 for guests and honorary members.

There will be no raffle this month.

Bake Sale

ppba_bake_saleWe are having a Bake Sale & 50/50 Raffle on Saturday, October 3, 2015. This is the day of the Point Place Art Walk. The proceeds will go to Point Place Days 2016. It will be held outside in the back parking lot of Lighthouse Landing. If you are willing to give a few hours from 10 am to 4 pm on Oct. 3rd and/or bake something, email or call/text me and leave me your name & phone number.

If your teen needs service hours for school, have them call me. I (Joyce) will be there for setup @ 9 am until 1 pm. Tom Stagner and Christine Franks will be working from 1 until 4. If you can help out a few hours, please call.

We need baked goods. If you can bake something, please drop it off Saturday morning at Lighthouse Landing Mall after 9 am or call to make arrangements.

Golf Outing Fundraiser, July 31st

The Point Place Business Association sponsored Scholarship and Legacy Foundation annual Golf Outing is scheduled for Friday, July 31st at the Detwiler Golf Course. All proceeds from the event will directly fund both foundations. This is the major annual fund-raising opportunity for both foundations

The cost for the scramble event is $90 per person, and includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, dinner, and Bonus Trail Pass good for 4 rounds of golf at Ottawa Park, South Toledo, Detwiler Park, and Collins Park.

Registration is at 11:00 am for a 12 noon shotgun start. Dinner of prime rib, provided by Black Pearl, begins at 5 pm. If you don’t want to golf, you can still enjoy the prime rib dinner for only $25.
