Help keep this great tradition going by joining us for an organizational meeting tonight. The meeting is at the VFW, located at 5416 North Summit Street in Point Place.
The meeting will be in the back meeting room at 7 pm. All ARE WELCOME. Your input is appreciated, and your help is needed.

The Point Place Days and Legacy Community Foundation annual Walleye Tournament took place last Sunday under a bright sky and with moderate temperatures. Tournament Director Eric Damask officiated as scores of early rising fishing enthusiasts gathered to register at Spot and Spams Bait Shop on Edgewater Drive at 6:00 a.m.
The competition concluded with winners in three categories at 3:00 p.m. with awards and refreshments. Mr. Damask challenged those in attendance to double their catch next year.
“The community action efforts of Visions for Cullen Park mesh wonderfully with efforts of the new and growing NWORR. These initiatives (Visions of Cullen Park and NWORR) collectively are the role model, a lesson, for how individuals, communities, and arms of government — in this case local and state — can work together and get things done. All hands deserve hearty applause. Can you imagine what kind of country this might be if this example was followed all the way to Columbus and Washington, D.C., and beyond? What a contrast with the ugly, petty, polarized, political backstabbing that characterizes too much of the ways things currently are being [or not getting] done.” – Steve Pollick, of the Blade
